The family asked what I would like for my birthday and were given a list of ideas.
    I’m not disappointed :smiling4:…

      Hello,
I've been to toy shops twice in the last few days with my children - and there were always model kits, and yet I was steadfast!
The only thing I bought in a craft department was 80m of 0.3mm wire. That should last a lifetime! :smiling5:

What I absolutely cannot do without, however, is literature! :tongue-out3:

Thought I'd give this thing a go, all the way from China from a well known shopping site!
Wonder what figures I can destroy with a paint brush on this?!

          Ok.....so amazingly.......NOT a kit!

Saw this referenced online somewhere and given that I have built one 1/72 Airfix Tiffy, have six in the stash and a seventh on advance order, I can't believe I missed the existence of this book!

Anyway, what is the thing you bought meant for? I can’t work it out from the photo.

Looks like a holder for painting miniatures. The thing that sticks up and over the top is to steady your hand

Andrew, as I understand it the sticky up bit supports the hand holding the brush I think…..the hand holding the stand grips the knurled bit at the bottom…..

Aha, like the ancient painter’s stick, which I just learned is known in English by a corruption of an obsolete Dutch name for it.
