Would you like it if I said the SOD (Sawn-Off Daimler) is not a D-Day-appropriate vehicle? Only a very small number (I want to say three, but maybe even only one?) were converted, and AFAIK, only some months after D-Day.

I went to IPMS Lancashires annual swapmeet today and came away with this. Part financed with a sale but still £10 down.

On my recent visit to the UK I decided to make some use of it and purchase a few items I needed.

Whilst I have always loved living here in Cyprus I am the first to admit that for purchasing modelling supplies it is a complete desert. This actually surprises me as there is an IPMS branch here that seems thriving. They actually had their latest show/competition at the end of April. I unfortunately missed it with being in the UK.
The nuts and bolts are to help me with the Manx build that I should now be able to restart.

Couple of books as background to the upcoming group build. Recommended by Arnie I believe, but sorry if I’m wrong. Can’t find the post now…..

The wife has been shopping on Amazon for me lately. Postman drop these off the other day. I don’t know if I like Amazon or not every model shows up in a mailer with the box crushed. Kinda like to keep the Boxes in mint condition. Click image for larger version

While the 'raspberry ripple' Lightning T5 is stalled due to a missing part, a trip to the LMS was in order and I came home with this. . .

Not a manufacturer I'm familiar with, reminds me a little of HobbyBoss

Miko (I have three 'what if' ideas for this one???)

Now I have quite a few short run kits from eastern Europe where there isn't always locating pins or tab and slot attachments, drilling and brass rod fitting is needed to add strength the joint,Click image for larger version

I just had to get this set off eBay. It was a bargain. After I bought the set, the seller wrote to me and offered me a few more things - also at a bargain price... A vicious circle! :smiling5:

Not really into Jets, but this is one of my favourite aircraft EVER,kits of 'em are quite hard to come by in 1/48,so after seeing this in an email from Jadlam,I snapped it up.Apparently, it's not the greatest kit ever, but eminently doable....and better than the Kitty one :thumb2:.
