Look at the bright side Andrew. Now you can turn on the washing machine in the laundering room again and make enough money to buy all the extra paint you'll need when you build it!!!
I went to a show at the Stammheim museum near us this weekend. I managed to get a few things and tried to stay clear of buying kits. Worked well until I saw this under a club's table and the price that was on it. €15 and brand new,

I didn't even think twice and snatched it up. Other goodies were things (kinda) needed,

The black square (L) is a 3D TET holder. Yea, I finally tipped my bottle over a few weeks back. A couple of reading materials that I found interesting and cheap,

And then 2 that brought back some old memories of earlier modelling and a must have. Both for €4,

And with no pic, a set of resin tires, a drill bit set 1.8-2.5 mm, and a set of metal barrels for the Flak 38 vierling. Yesterday I also received these two, fully installed and working,

New gas boiler for my heat (L) and hot water (R) and of course,

The thermostat to control the heat part. The old one was brick sized as you can see in the pic. Now I just have to go to college to learn how to use it. Lotsa time before winter comes...The downside to the boiler is, when it turns on, it doesn't make any motor noises or have any spinning propellers like the Ju-88........

Just got this from Taiwan:

Brand-new, released earlier this monthI ordered it twelve days ago, and it’s already appeared — and without extortionate fees (€1.50 in VAT plus €6 handling, on top of the US$27 purchase price plus US$8 postage).
TBH, it’s not something I had ever expected to see: a Second World War mine roller in plastic. Verlinden did one in resin, that I have in the stash, and Lanmo recently released one as a 3D-printed and photo-etched kit. Which I considered ordering just a few days before I saw this one announced, so that decision was easy enough

Ok chaps....so you had better sit down......
I think it goes without saying that we all agree that 1/72 is the one and only true modelling scale despite occasional dalliances with other scales we see on forums like this!
However, as you know, our very own Mod AlanG has, over a number of years, been trying to corrupt me to dabble with larger scaled wingy things, eventually getting me to embrace 1/48 kits.
Well it seems he has finally corrupted me on getting something larger.*** As you may have seen, he is having a stash clear out and I found myself agreeing to take the below off his hands for a reasonable price.....
......that's right....
.....it's 1/32!!
And is it big or what!! I think I need to practice on some 1/48 wingy things before giving this a crack!
I also think I need to go and lie down to get over the shock of finally succumbing to his drip-drip-drip of comments on larger scale aircraft!

***Can't help thinking this was his plan all along!
1/35 is very much alive and kicking.
It's about time you entered the grown up scale, which I think you will love and excel at .Good luck and looking fwd to seeing you post

Here at ths Towers a great deal of excitement has occurred. Not one but thee separate deliveries has happened.
First some boring to some but to resin poureres types most important.
Yes some plastic sheet which can be cut and used to in increase the strength of the Tamiya tape .
The small tape roll the the left is from the same supplier, also resistant to resin..
Standing up is some veneer for edging .
Then a lovely gift from Bob, who is having a clear out and kindly thought of me .
All will come in very handy, thanks Bob :thumb2:Attached FilesComment

Ok, chaps....so a few more arrivals today, as below.

Andrew
-----------------------------
First up some o-rings for the nozzle for my 0.2mm Tamiya Superfine AB - which is either a rebadged Iwata or at least shares many common parts.
The o-ring had got deformed and was getting squashed out flat as I put the nozzle back in and so creating a less that perfect seal. Trouble is Iwata only do seals with a nozzle - which is very expensive - and so some enterprising British company is doing their own compatible o-ring. You can get 8 o-rings for the price of one my nozzles, so I bought three.....as you can see below, the old nozzle was looking very squashed and I now get a perfect seal.
Not big are they?!?!
Old vs new
I am really liking Tamiya's 1/48 AFV range and found these for sale for what was already a very good price, with another 10% off on top if you signed up to the shop's newsletter.
The M8 Howitzer and M4A3E8 are actually a new thing for me. Whilst I have built plenty of US WW2 vehicles they have always been ones in British service e.g. Shermans and M5s (of both types), and so these are the first 'pure' US vehicles I have ever bought.
