Had some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and needed a new airbrush so after reading/watching a few reviews decided to get this.

Not had a chance to use it yet but it looks and feels quality.
For just shy of £69.00 delivered direct from the manufacturer with a free spare nozzle it was too good to resist :smiling4:

You know, my name is Andreas.... :tears-of-joy:

This week there were some lacquer colors directly from Poland, and a few mini tanks from Victrix.

        Best regards,
        Andi

I've been very restrained for the last few years, working my way through the stash, but I saw a uniform plate of these boys and they look quite colourful. And Lord knows I need a change from bloody NAVY!
I already have a load of Historex but this was quite a bargain on Fleabay so I took a punt and got it at asking price.

I haven't built a Historex figure since my teens, so I am moving him up the queue once the Landing Craft is done.

I had them cut the sheet of plexi into 4 pieces to fit in my rucksack, each being 25 x 62.5 cm. these will be cut down to 35 cm and used for a middle shelf in the display boxes I also just received. The boxes are 18 cm high and a shelf will leave you approximately 9 cm height above and below. You can get 2x as many models in one box to display. The screws are to support the shelf after your drill 4 holes in the sides. The wood is for another project and is 1 cm in diameter...

The MBK carton has the 5 display boxes in it and I noticed something on it when I took the above pic,

Nice kit. I have a few Historex and the area which i think show their age are the heads and hands - I always replace these with resin parts.

You need to add about a 1/8 inch wide plastic wedge to the rear of the horse as the Historex ones were a bit slim around the rear quarters and fill in accordingly also with the rear of the saddle.

Had one sent to me to try out when they were trying to get customer reviews, I am sure I put a review on here somewhere. Good airbrush, good value for money and as good as the main contenders.

                        Hi all

So another acquisition today....but 1:1 scale.

As you know I am changing jobs soon and I have been fortunate to have a company car with my current job (done in such a way that I don't get clobbered for tax too). Whilst I am able to buy it when leaving, it is far too expensive. even allowing for the exceptional discount we get......it was a Merc after all....and so I had to get a 'new' second second hand car.

As the 'new' car is used*** - albeit only a year old - I had to take delivery before the end of this month and there was no point in running two cars, and so the company car went back at lunchtime and I picked up the below this evening.

                        ATB

                        Andrew

***This is actually the first ever used car I have owned.....I have always been fortunate to either get a family discount on new cars though my mum or actually worked for a motor manufacturer...

!/72 Airfix RNLI Shannon Class Lifeboat.

First impressions (and I haven't even opened the plastic bag yet!)

Very basic interior. Once glazed it will be difficult to see inside, but really!

The handrails are way too thick. The kit has solid hand rails running along the length of the deck/hull. They should be S. Steel wire ones running between the deck stanchions as per the box art.

As I have little interest in the accuracy of models, I usually just build what's in the box, but this kit will need a huge amount of work to bring it up to just my acceptable standard.....I could go on.

Not a patch on the Severn Class offering.

I should have saved my wonga for summat else.

                            Not a happy bunny!

Quick question: is there anything in there on Erebus and Roberts in the Walcheren campaign in 1944? I would assume so, but if it’s reasonably extensive I might want to see about buying a copy of this book too.
