    New member introduction

Hi all. I've been lurking on the forum for a little while but now I have a question to post, so it's about time I introduced myself first. I'm a scientist in my late 50s, and I have a few different modelling interests. I'm a member of my local model railway club, where I tend to get involved with the less mainstream layouts, including narrow gauge and tramways. I also build model aircraft, mainly WW2 naval aircraft in 1/72, with occasional military vehicles in the smaller scales and one or two ships now and then. I have a personal rule that if anybody buys me a kit as a present I have to build it whatever it is (and however many years it takes to get round to it!) I haven't been on any modelling forum for a few years, though I occasionally posted to rec.models.scale back in the days of Usenet. I hope I have something useful to contribute at some point; let's see how I fit in. All the best, Dave.
