      Love the picture. I assume a Motor Gun Boat RN. Not with us now but a chap in Jersey here had one which he converted to a pleasure boat.

            Yes, its an Airfix 1/72 RAF Air Sea Rescue Launch. it's over in Completed' Ships, Boats and Submarines.

              Mh thought it a Gun Boat. My father worked on the Rescue Launches on the Thames. He used to take
              me on a Saturday, he was a carpenter & joiner, & was given the task of crawling up the bow to clear
              all the dust & plane shavings.

              Quite a guy he used to work late for the war effort. One night it was windy. The workshop was on
              an island in the Thames. The dinghy went over & dad landed in the drink. The family giggled but
              he did not see the fun in it. Well he did later
