Andrew,
welcome to the forum!
Please don't encourage Bobthestug, the medication only just keeps him in check!
Why don't you join in one of out group builds? Look at the 2019 & 2020 categories here
The recon, or animal antics GB can be wheeled, tracked or wingy things so plenty of subjects to go at..........
Dave
Thanks for the welcome. I'll have a look when I get a bit more time.

Hi Andy, and a big welcome from the wild, wild west! Western Montana, that is. Love your scale, If I hadn't got hooked on 1/87 first it would have been my choice as well. Looking forward to your postings and please try not to agitate BTS too much as Dave is correct about his meds being marginal at best. Cheers, Rick H.
Thanks for the welcome. It's ok Bob and I know each other a bit from another forum as you so I think I've got a handle the effectiveness of his meds, but I will be careful all the same!!!Comment

Cool cows-nice story. Some images depicting our thing with Bison. Buffalo is the second largest city in New York state. It had many roundabouts when it was laid out in the horse & buggy days, but car & bus use seem to have had a bad influence on their use till recently.
Central rail terminal lobby.
One of the many sculptures in & around the city.
Along the NY State Thruway entering the city limits.

Hi Andy welcome to the forum. I deliver down to Milton Keynes fairly frequently and it’s quite a unique place. It always gets a lot of stick for the number of roundabouts and the concrete cows but it also has a hell of a lot of green spaces and parks . The roundabouts do all tend to look the same though , when driving round you start to question the sat nav ,thinking to yourself ‘I’m sure I’ve already been round this one ?!’ Cheers tonyComment

I agree it is a great town with loads of diverse interests - my son used to play Ice Hockey for the Milton Keynes Lightning , so visited there loads of times !Comment

You're right about the roundabouts, although apparently they were only ever meant to be temporary and should have been replaced by traffic lights.
And you're right about the green space. I believe that about 30% is officially designated at parkland and then there are the two huge lakes. One is for recreation and the other is for wildlife. We also have the Grand Union canal running though it too and the Great Ouse just to the north.
We also have a surprising amount of history too for a New Town. One of the parish churches is built on the site of a Norman castle and part of the motte is still there. Stony Stratford is an old coaching town going back several hundred years built on the old Roman Watling Street and was also the site of a Civil War, which Sealed Knot sometimes reenact. Wolverton on the north side is the world's first purpose built railway town that Isambard Kingdom Brunel visited when planning his works at Swindon. And then there is off course Bletchley Park!!!Comment
