Welcome to this forum from a modeller with a rather similar, just a bit muddier, history.
I learned a lot and still discovering how the hobby evolved since the '80s with the help of the most useful modellers' madhouse ever established.

          Welcome!
I've only delved one into the world of winged WW1 and struggled with the rigging to the point I didn't enjoy the build.

I'm tempted to do a WW1 aircraft again now I've learnt some techniques but will wait for someone here (wink) to point me in the direction of a really good kit...

            Shipton,
welcome to the forum - 1/48 WWI aircraft? I've turned out quite a lot over the years, but only a few over the last couple of years. Last three were the Eduard Albatross D.III & Fokker DVII, and the Roden Junkers D.I, but I still have a few in the stash, waiting for my next WWI phase. They're a little more difficult to make, now - aging fingers etc etc, but they're still good every now and then!
            Dave

And a warm welcome from Germany too Shipton!!! Only have one WWI aircraft in the stash and it's in 1/32. 1/48 is too small for my old eyes. Would love to see what you're up to with them too......

              Prost
