Hi everyone and thanks for letting me join this wounderfil forum.
I have lived in Miami for the past 50 and since I was a little boy, the model ships world fascinates me.
I have built quite a few good model ships plastic and wood, my latest one is a 27”Galilee boat that was commissioned by a church.
Since I retired I worked for Model Expo as a their customer service contact.
I also build commissioned model ships for ME which models they publish in their catalog.
For the last 10 years I have being a tug fan,
I started to build a 38” modern mod tug but now is in the back burner.(set aside)
I will post a few pictures whenever I learn how to.
Recently I came across then opportunity to get my hands on my favorite model tug, the Caldercraft Imara. I also own a Caldercraft _Clyde Puffer.
So, as you can determine, I’m very interested in DDG51 Imara build log.
I can easily understand that this is not an easy model to build, so this forum will be the best orientation available to get started.
