                    Thanks Tony!

I do like Yaks, I used to look after some Yak-52's, 50's and the occasional 18T when I were a lad.

                      Arnold,
every modeller goes through the loss of mojo periods - just don't force it - it'll come back.
So, you haven't finished a model & you've landfilled a couple? So what? it's your hobby, there isn't any pressure to turn out museum pieces, unless you inflict it on yourself! Knock out a few quick build kits & even try your old technique from when you were a youngster - no paint - out of the box, as fast as you can!

                          Welcome Arnold,
You say you joined because you did not want the adverts, well I am sorry to disapoint you, but here we go....
                          ?
Exactly not a one, we have a for sale/swap or even rentsection, the rent bit I added as I am skint so need the money....

Great set of modelers on here, plenty of constructive advice, if you need an answer no matter how lame you think the question you will get at least 10 replies...

You say you have mojo issues, that could be a result of not yet deciding where you want to put your modelling talent to. But do not worry we all suffer from it, we go to Aunty Matron and she sorts us out.... Who is Aunty Matron, we do not know, but we are always in fear of her and the big medicine spoon....

Once again, welcome, put up your work and then sit back and enjoy the comments, then you will be on the right path....
                          Mike.

Thanks Dave, much appreciated. LOL! I've never been adverse to adding to landfill - I do believe that once you've run out of steam on a kit, just sticking it on a so called 'Shelf of Doom' is a bit of a waste of time. Learn from it and move on.

The trouble I'm having of late is a) a lack of direction and b) a lack of attention. I really enjoy building, when I feel like it, but I just can't seem to stick to anything, my mind is all over the place. I also keep getting these thoughts about selling off the stash, my reference books - that kind of thing. I won't pretend that I've been having the same troubles as yourself, but I also think some real life stuff this year - my wife's having health issues, work's been very OTT etc. - haven't helped either.

So yeah I'm doing exactly what you suggest - a new kit, totally OOB with no effort to correct any errors etc. Just to see if I can get it finished. I've also had a sort out of my workroom and well, tried joining a forum :smiling:

 I do like trying the 'no-paint' option, I've been thinking about having a go at that for a while.

LOL! Thanks Mike! I don't mind a sale/swap/rent section - hell I may even rent my Airbrush, I've hardly used it!

I will point out that a lack of adverts isn't the only reason I joined, it was also because you guys looked a decent bunch lol! It is appreciated though, as I hate the dam things - the internet is far to full of them, most of them totally inappropriate and some downright disgusting. I will try the 'Scale Model Shop' though, they look like they have some good stuff.

You are indeed right, I am suffering from a lack of direction, not sure if I have any talent though Aunty Matron sounds good, especially if her medicine bottle contained something alcoholic! I will post up some stuff though - just to show I'm not actually a Smegger Spammer!
