    Another Target Shooter

    Hey guys,

Just seen this forum and pleased that there is at least one other shooter on here.

I've been shooting all my life, but about 11 years ago I joined a local club and obtained my Firearms Certificate. Now I have a nice little collection of firearms (7 rifles & 2 pistols) which I use for both plinking and competitions.

Here are some of my toys.

This is a Marlin 1894 in .357 Magnum. I use this one for gallery rifle comps from 10 to 50 yards.

This is my AR-15 in 5.56mm. This is my CSR (Civilian Service Rifle) Comp gun.

This is my other AR-15, this ones in .22LR. I use it as a trainer for competitions as the ammo is massively cheaper.

This is a Remington 700 in 7.62mm, mounted in an Accuracy International chassis. It's good for 1200 yards.

This is another bolt gun, a CZ452 .22LR in a stock I made myself.

And this is my 1911 in .22LR. Mainly for fun, occasionally for club comps.

Since I bought it I've added a micro red dot and some custom grips.

I'm sure there are more than one Bob. I have been involved with firearms most of my life. Started shooting as a teen, got my first pistol at 18 ( 9mm Luger ). Started making reloads for it in 1974 as well as collecting and finally got involved in building and stocking custom sporting rifles in the '90s.
In 2005 I designed and built a high performance cartridge based on the 6.8 Remington SPC case,
necked down to .20 calibre with an improved shoulder of 30 degrees. It speeds along at close to 4000 fps. and groups at .375 in.@ 100 yds. If there is interest in this sort of thing I will post some pics. Thanks for sharing your collection Bob, really like the Marlin and the 1911 especially the suppressor!
      Cheers, Rick H.
