John. Yes I’m taking baby steps every weekend here trying to build back my muscle tone and strengthening my lungs.

Andy. Thanks for the kind words I appreciate you stopping by. I promise I will not over do it

I was looking for a pic the other day for my brother and I ran across some old pics of the farm when it was buzzing about 20 years ago. Here’s a few I’ll share. The Jersey cow was my favorite of all the animals I ever owned in my life her name was “Half Pint” I will admit I cried like a baby when she passed away of old age she was the most gentle cow I have ever seen. Nothing beats a nice wood fire. Ours has been a God send the last few days.
Which is more than we can say about the weather. Three days we wake up to snow that goes over in rain. Outdoors is not a great place to be for us right now.
Glad that you are on the mend. Dont over do it.

Ian. Thanks for the well wishes and I’ll be careful. I was a young boy working on local farms one time and in the winter months I would personally deliver them Christmas Cards to show my appreciation them for allowing me to work and learn about farming. I was at this one house that they had a beautiful wood stove that was nice and toasty I said the fire feels so good and the old farmers wife said “Wood Heat warms the sole like no other type of heat”. I’ll never forget it.

Today I gathered some Eggs for Hatching. I need keep doing things to keep my mind off of what is going on in my life right now as far as my health is concerned. I haven’t done this since my Daughters were babies. I’m sorry but Models are just not fitting the bill right now. I will keep you posted on the progress. My wife bought this set up for me before we were Married back in 1996 for Christmas Click image for larger version

Hi Lee, Great pics.........what are the temps. like outside down your way? We have had sunny days here but temps in the 20's and since I'm on blood thinners, it cuts through me like a knife. Glad you are able to get some things done and take in the fresh air. Take care and hope to see you back at the bench soon. Rick H.

Looks a great thing Lee, that will help to keep you mind busy caring for the chicks. How long do they take to hatch ?

Keep us posted Lee. Exciting waiting for the eggs to hatch. There was a report here a few months ago of a girl who had hatched out duckings from supermarket eggs HERE
