There's several in this area, from those that have a single hive, up to a chap who's got somewhere about 300(:surprised.
All got through the winter OK, and are busy as. well, bees - so could well have a good 'harvest' this year (at the moment, we're 'rationed', as only got half a jar left from last year!)

Nice to see your new chicks Lee!
There are some bee hives on the edges of fields near where I live, people are keeping them to pollinate crops, bees are more important to us than we realise. They seem to be under threat for reasons that we don't fully understand yet.

Thanks. When I was a kid they used to do the same here to Their crops but now with all the technology and herbicide crap they put in the ground they don’t do it more what a shame.

I live in the middle of Montana Flathead Cherry country.......every spring just before the trees bloom, a huge flatbed truck will show up loaded down with hives. Most of the orchards around me have platforms in the middle of them and a hive is placed on each one until the bloom is over......we are still doing it the "old" way cause it works. Rick H.

Tonight on the Hobby Farm my youngest Daughter and I Dyed Easter Eggs. She’s 16 and these days are numbered till she’s grown and gone on her own. Both girls are special to me. This one had Heart surgery when she was 12 years old and I thank God every day for her. She wanted to hold one of my chicks I hatched out for a pic. Happy Easter. Click image for larger version

Thanks Rick. My oldest still lives with us and I tell her take all the time she needs before moving out. She has one more year of College then she can teach full time. She teaches part time as a Sub now the other day she Substituted my youngest Daughters class that was funny my Youngest had to call her sister Ms. Drennen all day.

I used to work as a Technician in a Technical College, and I was also a part-time student and a part-time lecturer. One term I was the only student on a particular course, and the timetabling system made me the lecturer for one class of that course so I had to teach myself for two hours each week. One week I was sick - the Head of Department gave me a written warning for not having marked myself absent in the register, which was only allowed to be filled in on the day!.

Lee, it wasn't funny at the time. He just couldn't understand that what he demanded was impossible!

I finally got this old girl running. Last time it was running was in 2014. I replaced the following to get her running again.
                              New Carb
                              Points
                              Plugs
                              Condenser
                              Rotor Bug
                              Coil
                              Fuel line
                              Battery
Re-wired it. And it finally ran. Here’s some pics of it Saturday I move some stuff around and graded the driveway and made a new spot for my farm trailer and blade Click image for larger version

Looking good Lee and well done for getting it up and running.

I had a relative who used to have a vintage tractor that he used to take to agricultural shows and display them alongside steam traction engines, so this brings back good memories.

                                All the best.
