Tim thanks. I know it’s kinda mixed matched it was like that when I bought it. I did replace the left rear one (Looking from the back of the Wagon Frame) several years ago.

The two left hand ones, looking forward, seem of a very old design, almost like tractor front tyres. Should be good watching you whip it into shape though :thumb2:

Yes they are Tim and the one on the right rear is a very old car tire that’s not flat and has held air for many years it never gave me trouble. I’ll probably use that tube out of it. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day tomorrow I hope I can get some more progress on it

          Hi Lee
Well you've had a rough time this last year or so with the Covid and the failure of the crops. Let's hope this project is the start of better things.
Thinking of restoring old farm stuff have you come across a YouTube channel - Engels Coach Shop. He is a restorer of old horse drawn wagons. Incredible skills. Worth a watch.

cool project Lee! Out of interest, does the very narrow wheelbase on the front wheels affect the stability?

Great idea to keep you busy in the winter months Lee. A nice bed with maybe some hinged low sideboards too. Get your health back first and Just don't overdo it buddy. When your finished and it's painted, I'll see if I can sent this your way to mount on it. Great against poachers!!!.........

But please don't paint it Allis Chalmer's orange like the trailer. It would ruin the scare factor immensely. Could be a hit in the local 4th of July parade though. Just a thought................Take care of yourself my friend......

Hi Lee........ambitious undertaking but a noble one. You should get years of use out of it.

Jim thanks for stopping by. It’s been rough alright. A couple weeks ago a good friend of mine who I grew up with died suddenly of a massive heart attack while he was at work we were the same age and hung around together during our school years. Sometimes I really don’t know how much I can take with all the friends I’ve lost to Covid and Heart Attacks I’m going numb. I’m going to check out that YouTube channel thanks for the heads up.

Ah, so it does rotate on the Center line to equalise the wheels. Excellent stuff. I thought I could see that but wasn’t sure it wasn’t an illusion. Is the pivot that point on the middle tube with the reinforcing plate?
Used to do something similar with my four wheeled wagons on the model railway….it really helped track holding.

Got some sanding and painting done this morning. Going to work on it some more this evening and try to get all the painting done outside. I’ll remove the wheels inside my garage re-pack the Bearings and touch up where I missed painting and build the bed for it. I want to get as much done outside while we have this Beautiful weather. As the old Farmer saying goes “Make Hay while the sun is shining”. Enjoy the pics
