Heard from the workshop today. The Ride on needs the carb rebuilding. New Oil filter and spark-plug and of course oil. Something in the carb broke and the engine sucked a liter petrol into the sump. £250 and a further weeks wait. Guess I'm going for a walk with a lawn mower tomorrow... grr.
Anyhow. The Veggie garden 2,0 is 99% done. Just the sodden paths to sort out. Top tip weeds grow very well in wood chips.

The early whites are starting to wilt a bit but the ones next to them are starting to open.
The Red one at the back of the garden is going nuts.

Clear signs of a deer has had a kip in our garden. Scrapes in the soil, Plants squashed and the little fecker has broken a small as in new last year tree. Silkefyr (Pinus peuce).

I hope we can have our two latest trees in peace. A Sweet chestnut and a Walnut. The chestnut must be a graft as they give the hight as 3.5 to 4 m The Walnut a bit bigger at 6 to 8 meter.... I must get them in the ground soon. lol.

This morning's walk in the garden was a nice cool and gentle stroll. Rewarding too!
Our Wisteria is at 90% today. Only a dozen or so blooms left to open:

Not the sharpest of pictures sorry. My Sciatica is giving me grief and my carpal tunnel is driving round the bend now in both wrists! this being the reason there is not much happening at the work bench right now. I can hardly hold a mug of tea, let alone build models.!

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. A lot of hard work but when you see it in bloom it must be all worth while. I hope you give yourselves time just to sit and enjoy.

Oh! The reason why I have sciatica issues:
The Whitsun bank holiday was spent in the front garden. What was just a grass area is being turned into a flower garden.

This bed dug by Carina, was square but I made it round. It was weeded and got some compost feed. Loads of plants o go in yet!

A new bed was marked up last week and Carina was on it like white on rice! Digging and planting in one hit!!! I stopped her and convinced her that we start by removing the turf.... So we helped each other with that.

Turf Gone we got a trailer load of compost from the green waste center. Only a "half load" though as the new car is not allowed to pull two ton! (miss the 4X4 there!) A couple of barrows full and the digging started.
The turf was place grass down as the edge to the next bed, in time that will get a few layers of corrugated card and 6 inches of compost and soil. There are a lot of roots from the three pines next to the bed.. not a place that can be easily dug.

So we are both a bit pooped today, but as said my back is done for the next several days!
We did enjoy the G&T after though!
