    Tragic

I can't be the only one here, surely?

I have an open Facebook/local paper advert open to put people's flatpacks together for free. Love it. It's not exactly unconnected to model making, but it's like a free Tamiya kit. I don't get many requests, perhaps they think I'm a bit odd, and I'm selective about who and where, but if a pensioner or otherwise friendly-sounding person in need comes along, I'm more than happy to spend a day or two knocking up their Ikea-bait.

My favourite ever was a set of 8 interconnecting wardrobes which made a fitting room for a pair of mid-70s spinsters. Cost me three days and a fingernail, but it was 10 points at the pearly gates and a bladder full of Dolce Gusto.

Surely you lot insist on putting friends' and family's furniture together?

That’s an awesome thing to do. Kudos fella.
With regards to putting flat pack together I do seem to put my fair share of 1 to1 kits together too!

    All the best

My daughter went a bought herself a chest of drawers last Sunday and put it together herself without telling me.

No flowers for the funeral please.
