it will be interesting to see how long it lasts before I do have to buy a replacement, but so far it has worked ok for The last couple of months

Good work Peter. Reminds me of the scooters made in Goma in the DR Congo, used for transport:

They featured in the BBC programme ' Expedition Volcano'.

Tony - is that you i the photo? One thing about lockdown, very little use of the car so one tak of petrol has lasted 10 weeks.
I agree Paul - can't beat a bit of bodging.
Peter - that looks a reall deathtrap, must have been scary to ride.

here is a story of a bit of bad luck from lock-down: although we have a great hospital on-Island for some specialist stuff we have to use Southampton hospital. A couple of weeks ago the wife of a friend had to go to S'oton For some tests, just when the S'oton hospital introduced a rule that in-patients have to self-isolate for 14 says before admittance. After one week of her self-isolation it was agreed that patients from guernsey would only have to self-isolate for 7 days, so her first week self-isolated was not needed. In addition, when she returns to Guernsey she will have to self-isolate for another 14 days.

                Well done Peter!!

Even if it only lasts a couple of years you can just make another one and it will be much cheaper than a new one!!

                    Hi Guys

thought you may be mildly interested - the wheelbarrow I fixed during the first lockdown in 2020 is still going strong. Well, strong may be stretching it a bit; it is a bit wobbly but it is still usable after 4 years.

had it not been for lockdown I would have probably bought a new one.

I think I deserve a new kit with the money I saved! Now, which one?

So when your wooden frame finally gives up, are you gonna fix the barrow part to your sack truck? If you make it removeable you'll still be able to use the sack truck! And have any manufacturers already made that convertible?
