Our Beach hut Matilda the hut Dovercourt.

    Hi gang.
Our little retreat at Dovercourt near Harwich in Essex. We bought it last October after selling our old one in Clacton as it was getting worse for wear.Nothing better than sitting at our hut and going for a walk to Parkeston quay in Harwich to watch the port going ons.

I used to run a caravan park and can see the appeal of these, don't think there are any in N.Ireland though.

Thats a shame Karl. They have character but can be really expensive. Some at Alburgh and Southwold in Suffolk are as much as homes.

Always meant to stay in Dovercourt for a day or two, my great-grandfather was from the Harwich area. Actually Great Oakley, but when signing on crew lists (he was a mariner) he always gave his place of birth as Harwich.

Great to see Richard, brings back memories of the beach hut my Gran had at Frinton. Shrimping and walks along the beach , and the smell of the sea . Days of happiness .
