Some of my better shots from the Farnes and bempton - hope you enjoy looking.
Normal turn out here this morning, 3 Black Birds, House Sparrows , Starlings ,and of course the local gang of Pigeons.
Most afternoons a Red Kite does the rounds of the gardens, some one futher down the road is feeding them as we often see it swop down .
When it's really cold we have Gold Finches on the feeder after the sunflower seeds .
Any one else do the RSPB garden birdwatch next weekend ?

We do John. Today, apart from the bullfinches, today we’ve had the usual suspects….many sparrows, collered doves, wood pigeons, crows, rooks, jackdaws, chaffinches, gold finches, greater spotted woodpecker, great, blue, coal, mallow and long tailed tits, a pheasant, robin, and blackbird. Sometimes get a black cap as well. I think the chickens attract the other birds LOL.
Oddly enough, not many birds today just the odd jackdaws - although the squirrels are chasing each other up & down the trees - beginning of the mating season - the foxes have been screaming at night, this past week

Well it that time of year again around here I had the bird feeder filled for a couple months but the weather has been so warm here not much activity until the other day when it started getting cold caught this Redheaded Woodpecker now there starting to feed again
The other day saw another pair of Turtle Doves leisurely walking the road in front of the house.
I also realised the ravens or crows make the same eerie noise in the morning like they do in Sydney.

Ring Necked Parakeets (which have already been mentioned). Two were near us between September and November last year. They seemed to like the neighbour's apples on their trees and then ventured to our shed feeder.
Anyone know if they will return or was it a stop-over, perhaps to feed on the apples? It was good to see them.
