Totally get the stress relief aspect Monica, but never been much of a shoot em up fan myself, I always went more for turn based strategy type games. Started on a C64 commodore and rapidly went to a PC. Never wanted a games console. I loved Civilisation, and also got heavily into East Front II and all its incarnations. Also played Xcom quite a lot, as well as the Football manager series. I really wanted a good Napoleonic strategy game, but never found one that suited me. I don’t play computer games much now because my PC is pretty much steam powered, but did dig out my Arkham horror LCG yesterday for the first time since initial lockdown.Comment

I remember Shogun. Threw my toys out of the pram with it when it crashed after I played a great game beating a much larger army….loved the winning comment though…”The enemy Daimyo is running like a whipped dog”….Comment

I am pleased to see that this thread attracted a lot of interest and comments. I am not a big shoot up fan, although RDR2 does have some great gun battles. If you enjoy the puzzle type games The Room series is very well done and does not need huge processing power to run.
Like I said I am getting on for 70 now but a little escapism still brings a smile.

Worked through the room series on my IPad John. They are very well put together and a great way to while away an hour or so. The last one wasn’t as good as the others though…..the puzzles were good but I found some of it a bit repetitive in places.Comment

I have a few games via steam but tend to focus on world of warships, good tactical game and can take me away to another world. Naval sim based on WW1 and WW2 ish era ships/subs/air craft carriers team based and decent graphics, cool thread !Comment

I'm a dyed in the wool Gran Turismo fan boy, and on the few occasions I game these days that's where I'll be. Though Snowrunner has had a bit of a look-in these past couple of years.
Much as I'd like to roam round shooting all & sundry I am completely hopeless at it ! I haven't even got through the opening scene of Red Dead Redemption.
Still, it amuses the kids no end.Comment

Back in the day Syphon Filter was my go to game on the PS1, after a PS2 and an Xbox 360 which I kicked the backside out of, the kids and wife bought me a PS4 a few years, although I'm online line, I don't play the console like I used to. I'm a COD fan but at the mo I'm playing Tom Clancys The Division. I don't do Halo or any of those games.Comment

Been an ex Game manager I've played a few games
Remember the first Red Dead, I was there for launches of the PlayStation, Dream cast, N64 etc
I still play a few games, I love MMORPG'S still playing Lord of the Rings Online after 15 years, Eve Online 18 years, played Wow, Asherons Call and even Silent Service 4.
On the original Xbox I was a top 50 in the world Halo player
Beta tester for Microsoft, helped Sony out with Star Wars Galaxies, the list goes on.
I've just gone back and run through all the Command & Conquer series but still go back to LOTRO for my love of Tolkien.Comment
