    A Memorial Group Build forum.

It was suggested that we find a way to preserve any GB's that are in memory of a member that is no longer amongst us.

They shall not grow old, and at the setting of the sun, we will remember them.

If you wish to suggest a memorial GB please suggest it in here. IN THIS THREAD.

It has been said by a few of us that we need a Memorial GB for Alan G.
Aircraft of the Luftwaffe was a large area of interest for him. He had a soft spot for Fw190.
Any other suggestions for a build for Alan?

Fw190 would seem the obvious choice to me.

Fw190 sounds fine to me as well.

Well I’m not a fan of WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft but I’d lay that to one side to enter this to remember Alan ?

I think a general luftwaffe gb would be more accomodating....more choice

Agree completely about a FW 190 Wurgur GB for Alan. They were his passion and are a fitting subject for a memorial GB.

Has to be a FW190 build ( co incidentally that was the subject of the very first Group Build on this forum many years ago !)

I’d go for the FW190 build too.

So A Fw190, which seams to be the obvious choice, any scale and in Luftwaffe paint and markings.
Time wise, is three months long enough? I'm thinking oct-dec. to round the year off.

Three months seems a good timescale to me.

I agree with the subject. My only concern is that there are already two GBs starting in October. I would like to join in but I'm already committed to the other two and I know I wouldn't finish within the time scale. I would feel better if the timescale was say 4 months starting January.

                          I agree Jim.

I don’t mind regarding the timescale but it would be nice to allow as many guys to enter as possible as a fitting tribute to Alan so the first GB of next year seems sensible to me.

                          Geoff.

Definitely a good idea! I subscribe Jim R suggestion about postponing to January even if I'm not hindered by other GBs; the hinderance comes from real life .

The preserving of previous memorial GBs is also a very nice idea; hope it's feasible.

We did one for Simon T didn't we? Seems fitting, I'd give it a go.
