Thanks guys,
The kit came with nice colored PE parts,
I used superglue to glue the PE in place,
Added some weathering/scratches, the engine was drybrushed with vallejo aluminium, then I repainted the black parts.
Then all these parts need the go into the fuselage...
Gluing/aligning all the parts at the same time to get the 2nd part of the fuselage on was a bit akward but it worked...
Next I prepared the wing-parts, here I noticed a warp in the bottom-wing (the bottom engine cowling was not level in relation to the wing)
Fuselage ready to mount to the wing,
Here I got into trouble, the bottomwing is warped, and it takes a lot of force to force it into position...
So I 'over-pre-bended' the plastic and then added a strong clamp to get the panel in place, but now the gluebond on the other side has opened up because of the tension...
Also glued the bomb included in the kit, the kit is an A8 (fighter), but I'm building it as an F8 (ground attack) from the B&w photo...
So that's a very weird issue, does anyone else had a warped bottom wing? (Sprue "82140 I") Perhaps my kit had trouble comming off the injection machine?
Thanks for reading,
cheers👍 1Comment

That’s looking good Steven. Interesting problem with the lower wing, though it looks like you’ve cracked it. I’ve rarely built an aircraft without alignment problems somewhere, so you are in good company ?
My version, the earlier A2, has a slightly different design to that area. In mine the lower wing is put on, then the cowling applied over that. I had no misaligned moulding, though it did come with its own problems. I misread the instructions and put the cowling bottom on first so had to do a little chopping about to get the wing in. Not really sure how well it went, but the tape comes off today so I’ll soon find out……👍 1Comment
