    Tonys Eduard 1/72 Fw190A-8

Hi all heres my contribution to this very poignant GB . Its the Eduard 1/72 FW190A-8. Its the Profipack version and I got it for a very reasonable £14 inc postage. As such it includes coloured photo etch , masks and five decal options . As is usual with Eduard there are loads of parts that are not needed for this variant so lots for the spares box ( or the Airfix fw190 I’m hoping to do after this one )
Alan would be chuffed to bits to see this many Wurgers being built .

These Eduard ProfiPack kits are pretty good. Good value for money as well considering all you get.

              Good luck Tony, looks good
Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

I’m sure Alan would be chuffed and there is a nice variety of kits too ?

Got started on this today . Its a very detailed kit with some fiddly little parts so constant reference to the instructions is required to make sure you dont do anything out of order . The cockpit is quite small but in this profipack boxing is half PE . After a prime everything was painted Rlm 66 . Ive somehow managed to fold the rudder pedals without them pinging into the ether and fitted the seat and lovely pre painted belts . I had to scratch the control column as this just vanished into thin air after I cut it from the sprue ! Next I’ll be fitting the PE instrument panel and side consoles . Looks very fiddly Tony. Taking notes as my contribution is the same kit. I'm getting worried

Cockpit tub now complete . The side console/ lower instrument panel PE piece was folded and glued to the tub . There were a couple of PE handles and a lever that are absolutely tiny , less than half a mm ! How I managed to fit these without losing them and with a microscopic contact point for the CA is a miracle . Normally I wouldnt have bothered with these but seen as its Alans GB I had to try . The top part of the instrument panel is glued to one fuselage half . Next is joining the fuselage halves .

                          Well done Tony,
I was fighting the 1/48 PE yesterday, but yours looks even worse (even tinier parts I mean), great result tough ? cheers

Don't be afraid of PE, look upon it as a choice to be made. I often use PE offcuts to form needed details or structural features not supplied in the model kit.
