    Jim R's Eduard Fw 190-8/R2

This will be my contribution to this GB. It is the same kit as Tony (yak face) is building.

Being the ProfiPACK version the kit includes canopy masks and some coloured PE. The usual nice instruction booklet.

Just two grey sprues and a clear sprue.

I won't start immediately as there are other things cluttering up the bench but should be able to make a start in a week or so. In the meantime I shall continue to enjoy all the other builds in this bitter sweet GB.

Nice one jim , it looks to be a beauty of a kit . Havent started mine yet so I’ll be watching for any pointers!
Theres a good selection of schemes , which one are you leaning towards ? Because I’m going to have four spare decal options I’m going to use one of them on an Airfix fw190 after ive done the Eduard one.

Looks extremely similar to the 1/48 offering Jim. Should be a trouble free build so enjoy it ?

I'll keep my eye out for this build Jim.

Eduard, I do like an Eduard kit, nearly as much as an Airfix kit.

Well at long last I've managed to make a start. Things have been hectic recently. I have some ongoing health issues which have taken time visiting hospital and my dear wife managed to break her leg!! Christmas Eve, at my daughter's, she says that she'll bring the granddaughter's Christmas presents downstairs ready for the morning. Slipped on the bottom stair, collapsed in a heap with much yelling and we spent 8 hours at Chester A&E. Suffice it to say that she is now on the mend. Interestingly I have found out that we have a washing machine and a hoover !!!

Back to modelling. As Tony (Yak Face) has found the kit is great. Good fit. He managed more of the itty-bitty PE than I did. Cockpit is done and sandwiched between the fuselage halves.

And with the canopy front just dry fitted.
