Interesting. That stripy undershirt should make her stand out ?

I am adverse to stripes as a finish due to my basic laziness, so will take advantage of the second paint & decal choice supplied.
Upon further investigation, the stripes are supplied as decals & there isn't really a second finish choice, just decals for a 1945 version of the same plane.

Looks like a nice kit Paul, I wasn't aware these planes existed in H0 scale. Have fun

Where do you find them Paul ? 1:87 aircraft. I can't remember for sure, but I think the colourful underside was something to do with identifying them at their home airfield's, to stop them getting shot down by their own AA guns.

I'm another who didn't realise that 1/87 scale aircraft were made. It will be an interesting build.

Although I build few aircraft (4 in the last decade), I've a bone to pick w/model aircraft makers who don't believe anyone builds aircraft in flight. Even when they sometimes provide a pilot, they make no provisions for stowed landing gear. This shouldn't be a big deal, and prolly isn't for most modelers, but in 1/87 this can be problematic for me. I spent an hour trying to come up with a solution for the main gear. Now to execute.

Nice one paul , should be nice and colourful . Are the stripes all separate or in sections ?

The decals include ten individual stripes about 4 1/2" long, so cut to fit. ArsenalM took over ROCO's minitank line and offers several aircraft in 1/87. Trident offers both Waco & Horsa gliders in 1/87.

The mancave has been too cold to model (outside temp this AM 1F). Momcave still full of holiday stuff. Must do a tidy so I can model there as it has heat. Been busy w/snow removal.

Poor instructions and lack of locators make this less than optimum, but I forge ahead.

Paul, a mere inconvenience for a man of you calibre.

This is 3, I also have 1 which has slightly different camo, but still has red/white striped bottom. The plan is to have both in flight w/??? in pursuit.

The red with white stripes underside really adds something to the model.

Red 3, Waldemar Wubke, had 15 victories while earlier flying mostly fighter-bomber missions, thus the phrase 'In Service of the Reich Railway' painted on his plane in reference to carrying bombs more appropriate to the railroad.
Red 1, Heinz Sachsenberg had 104 victories, mostly in the East and commanded the "swarm" protecting JV44's 262s at takeoff & landing. These airfields were heavily protected by flak hence the "don't shoot me" distinctive red & white striped bottoms of the swarm. Both of these pilots flew the entire war & survived it.

Paul, that explains the reason for such a highly visible paint job.
