Plenty of Spitfires and Hurricanes - a few Typhoons, nice to see a couple of Harrriers and Mustangs too.

Not seen a 1/24 P47 before and was not aware it had been 'kitted', so I look forward to seeing that one.

    But whats missing....

    Mosquito

    Stuka

    Bf109

    Fw190 or

    Rufe

all of which have been kitted in 1/24 by Airfix or Trumpeter...

    No bidders for them?

Can't afford them Barry! It would be nice to see a Huey helicopter too.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

This is the one that caught my eye Barry:

There were several variations of this kit, but VFS is no longer in business as far as I know. I'm sure I saw something on the 'net about them having sold the moulds so maybe it will be available under another badge.

I know what you mean Rick, most of these are up for between £58 and £71 over at Model Hobbies. The Mosquito is difficult to find and ridiculous money is being asked for the kit on eBay (USA). But then someone may have it in their stash - to think I have a chance of getting one for under £100 less than 2 years ago...

From my point of view also, is the fact that I haven't built anything bigger than 1/72. I can live with writing off a £20 model if I make a mistake, but at the retail prices of 1/24 scale models it's difficult to throw in the bin if it goes wrong. With the Airfix 1/24 scale models going for as little as £20 the cost/risk is reduced, I wouldn't have bothered with this SIG otherwise.

There's a BF109 I have my eye on that if I see on sale in the new year I will be picking up! Would be pretty cool to have a 1/24 Spit v Schmit on display in the bay window!! (I have a tiny house, but a huge bay window, they would fit!)

Oh, mine's the Vb too.....have we got enough for a section or a flight yet???

I'm kind of with Rick on this. I wouldn't normally touch a 1/24 aircraft with a barge pole, and it's only because I have a sister who "thought it looked nice" and, despite me attempting to explain to her several times, doesn't really get the scale thing.

If it hadn't been for this SIG, I suspect it would have remained in the loft for quite a while...

Ps: just for curiosity, someone brave man will add a "little" base? Or everybody will build it single?
There'll be no base here, in fact I'm thinking about chickening out altogether and doing it in flight. The plan at the moment is maybe just taking off - flaps down, wheels coming up, canopy open? And yes, I'm going motorised !!

Anyone know a good site for a Typhoon photo references?

I'm specially looking for real colours, interiors (not only the cockpit) and the wins....

                        Thanks

                              I am in,

with the Huey from Revell, at least that's what i think.

One question to all of you, i couldn't find any aftermarket parts for this one.

Any of you Guy's and Girl have an idea?

                              Cheers Richi
