Well I cant have a rusty tank just sitting on the shelve so....

I started on a base. Of sorts.

The posts will get a bit of wire, and the large open area will get some bits and bobs to fill it out a bit. Oil drums, old planks, some scrub and long grass sort of thing....

Looks really nice Ian, you certainly get the feel of a sand-blown, hard used tank! i think the salt chipping worked well in this instance.

        Cheers Patrick

Well a few more bits on the base. I don't want to clutter it up, but I think the large open area between the oil drums and the tree is, erm, to big and empty...

                  Any ideas?

fantastic build Ian,you could try to add say another branch from the tree , just to use a little more space up or some track that

was not taken away ops: or maybe like a half drum with some planks, leaning on it with a couple on the ground with some long grass as well

i do real like how you have used a real bit off tree, looks great and also the b/ wire turned out real well

Is it not crying out for some figures Ian? A couple of guys in overalls maybe?

Ian, that does look well. top marks.

How about just spinning the tank around a bit, so it is sort of facing, but not in between, the drums and the tree stump?

Super work Ian. I reckon a figure would fill that area nicely.

                            Thanks Ron!

But then I would have to do the ground again, so that its not standing on the grass but settled into it....A good thought though

FIGURES! Are you nuts they take skill. Besides I don't have any.

                              Hmm.

The oil drums looks very good Ian, the rust effect on them is great.

My opinion is no figures...don't have any rest of an old kit or similar? Or can build some scratch metal sheets.

As Moni has said, with some more long grass this little scene will be magnificent.
