For a moment Joe,(with your background) I thought you were talking about the real thing - my coffee hasn't kicked in yet !

Dave, looking very nice. I haven't built an eagle since I was a boy - I'm now interested in one again,

My cup of coffee is my ballast in the office. My Airfix P-38 needed a lot of weight to stop it tail standing without a pole, didn't put enough in it as it turned out. Can never seem to find small and dense enough material to use.

I have an advantage there Joe, I often get to work on very old lead sheathed cables, which need a certain amount of preparation.

I don't suppose there's much call for lead in the aircraft industry !

Last night I fitted the windscreen and masked the model for paint.Tonight I sprayed it with Vallejo white primer.

Hi Dave I am currently building one these bad boys. A few things I found that were lacking are the boms for the tank rails on the underside and no aim-7's. I guess it depends if you want to depict the real aircraft that attended RIAT in 98 or not. I have made a couple of errors with this build one of wich I am hoping to sort. The other I can hide by putting the frame on a diorama. Here are some pics

I would advise cutting the long tiger mark decals in to more managable pieces as it is easy to end up with creases

You've made a nice job of that.despite the lack of bombs, I think it's a great kit for the price.I will have to model mine as if its just come back from the bombing range!.Not too bothered about total accuracy as I'm just building it for the SIG.I usually only build WW2 aircraft.

This is where I am going to look stupid as a newbie here what does sig stand for?

The bombs and Aims I used were taken from other kits

I've read a review that advises to do this. The reviewer says the decals have a lot of glue and need to be moved into position quickly

Not a stupid question at all. I asked it myself a year or so ago. SIG = Special Interest Group. A group build of a set theme.
