    Looking great so far Dave.

I tried the alcohol and modelling thing once, I broke stuff too, so I've never done it since, but may have to try your Adnams experiment for myself

Looking good there, a lot of fiddly bits for my kaput hands to cope with...but looks like it is going to be great when finished.

Made three actuator arms to replace the ones I lost and glued them to the exhausts. Then primed them ready for painting.Need to replicate the finish in the photos below.Any ideas people?.

You could try anthracite + white with a bit of tan earth or a very small amount of us field brown, or a medium grey.

                Looking very good Dave!

                How about...:

                1-Paint in gun metal color

2-A second coat of crome color, but very light without paint all, just few parts (like modulation).

3-A brown or dark yellow wash.

4-and finally a dark steel pigments or a graphite pencil.

The inside...you must keep this white color and just paint this little 'lines' with the airbrush or brush in gun metal or similar dark one. At the end, the white will change with the brown wash.

                Regards

                Polux

I've made a start on painting the exhaust area.Painted the ring in front of the exhausts in Humbrol steel. Then I've done the turkey feathers gunmetal as suggested by Polux.Im going to give them a light dusting of steel next and finally a wash. Then I will tackle the insides.Going to take a few sessions as I have only got these colours in enamels. So have to wait for them to dry.Ive also masked and painted the bare metal areas on the fuselage.Revell suggest using a mix of aluminium and anthracite,Which Ive done.Doesnt look very realistic though.Maybe a wash will improve it.

This is my attempt at airbrushing black streaks inside the exhausts.Im quite pleased with it.Thanks to Polux for the advice.Just need to give it a brown wash when the black has dried.
