Tony's (Mossiepilot) Tiger Meet F-104 G starfighter

This arrived on Monday and I'm really looking forward to starting it.

The kit is done in yellow? plastic, I suppose it's for those who don't want to paint it, and the moulding is very thin which is a little worrying.

The sprue shots and the detailing is nicely fine, but the thing that has got me the most is the decal sheet black blobs everywhere !!!!

Think this is either going to be great or the biggest mess I've ever done.

    Tony.

Nice one. The decals will be fine just take your time and check what goes where before you plonk it down.

Sorry Tony I had to have a little chuckle when I saw those decals, but I'm sure you will be fine with them. But it looks a good kit, apart from the colour that is

          Nice to have you onboard

I would be in the same boat, either the model would be a triumph of decal work or would be a total mess...good luck mate.

On deck chair pulled up this looks interesting Tony good look with all those decals I feel I would have to apply all of those in a number of visits to the bench as opposed to one sitting. I am sure with your skills and a " little" patience it will turnout beautifully

thanks for the good words guys.

This will be fun I think.

Fun (definition) - lots of hair pulling, nail biting and possibly some swearing

                  Tony.

Slow going at the moment, new house and the gardens a real mess so modelling is taking a bit of a back seat.

I've got the cockpit done, , first time I've used decals for this, and they didn't turn out too bad I think.

                    More later, thanks for looking.

Those decals are generally quite big. I did one of these for daughter No1 (she has a think about tigers) and just sat myself down in front of a decent film, and got stuck in.

The instrument decals look great tony, you'll be getting a bit more time modelling what with the rain putting the kibosh on the gardening!!! tony
