Hi Chaps a quick update, got the crew painted for the black bunny and after some jiggery pockery managed to get the cockpit in, as you may see there is some gaps that need filling (just waiting delivery of the filler). The Archangel cockpit had to be trimmed a bit as the cross section had been to wide. It sits nicely now. Must admit the cockpit had been far easier to fit than the one in the 1/48. Any comments/advice would be gratefully received

Hi All, I have to agree with Dave, the Phantom C/D afterburners lack some detail so to address this in some little way I gave this a go..

[ATTACH]60404.vB[/ATTACH] found my sons old toy tank in the garage and thought the rear wheel looks the part..

[ATTACH]60405.vB[/ATTACH] made a mould..

[ATTACH]60402.vB[/ATTACH] made two rings from solder..

[ATTACH]60401.vB[/ATTACH] poured in some j-cast 70D moulding plastic..twice...and..

[ATTACH]60403.vB[/ATTACH] not to bad I think..better than looking down into empty cans...:smile:

Hi All, and Thank you Joe..another up date, got the stabs on last night with a helping tip from Dave W (cheers Dave)

also got the seams done on the 1/48 and the 1/72 (trying to bring them along simultaneously).

put in the cans in the 1/48 and tried a bit of detailing on the nose cone vent? (dont know what else to call it)

love the exhausts inside, i used stretched sprue lol,and your intake covers are awesome

Looking good Jim.The bits you've opened up just aft of the nose cone are air intakes.One side of the nose is for the equipment cooling system.The other side is for cockpit conditioning/pressurisation air.Cant remember which side is which.

Phantastic work Jim, they both look great. I have left the horizontal stabs and exhausts off mine until the main paint scheme has gone down.
