    star wars x wing

this was going to form part of my sig build but now i am presenting it as a separate entity because of problems with scale and such like on my other build which i am very fed up with now( see other post in sig forum)....i think i may of got carried away with the dirt on this one. purchased as an incomplete kit part built of e-bay, there were lots of bits missing including the whole cockpit, luke, top section and back plate so just did what i could...............also the carpet monster has just eaten r2d2, only noticed after i had snapped pictures. oh well ,sure when luke skywalker turns up he will find him...the pilot figure is actually a robogear figure with most of his arms cut off.

Nice job andrew, the dirt looks perfect to me. Im no expert but i seem to remember the ones in the film being very used looking and mucky . top result , cheers tony

        Looks great.

I saw a documentary a little while ago that mentioned part of the success of star wars was the decision to 'dirty up' their rebel ships and general space vehicles giving a more realistic air.

All other sci-fi at the time used spotlessly clean models.
