Maybe it's not such a good idea to watch The Battle of Britain on telly. I'll end up buying a pile of Heinkels and Messerschmidts.

Very nice Rick. The pair on the shelf will look the part.

Look at the lines on that aircraft . Designed in the mid thirties. Just unbelievable. The really elegant wings and purposeful tail.

Nice work Rick, saw this in the Market Garden thread. They seem to be nice enough kits from watching your builds.

The cockpit windscreens on now, when I get them masked it will be time for priming.....at last.

Both kites have been masked and primed with Vallejo Model Air 71.047 US Grey for the underside applied. I got carried away and did both aircraft before realising I would have to do D-Day stripes on one. Hopefully spraying white over grey won't be too tricky(!).

Definitely a contender for the best looking WWII 'plane Laurie - especially seeing the nice job Rick's doing so far.

First fix of masking for the D-Day stripes, just the underside for now.

Very nice Rick very nice finishes going on here.

Yes you are right Gern. The Dakota is a very pleasing design. Very similar in a lot of respects to the Wellington which I chose.

Looking good Rick, shouldn't have too many issues with the stripes over that grey I wouldn't think, if you do I think priming again with that lighter shade would help.
