Thanks chaps,

David it was just sitting in a corner of a shelf of a local model shop, they had two, dont think the owner knew how long they had been there to be honest ... he even made a comment like "thats a weird one eh?" when i took it to the till

Cost £13 which isn't that bad even with the kit being so basic and flashy.

Got the chassis and engine painted up and weathered. Not too bad detail on the engine to be honest but it's a shame as it will be hidden under the body in the dio.

They did sometimes have the front two doors open when trundling around apparently to help cool the engine, but even having these cut out and opened a little would only show the radiator so i'll just have to know it's under there unfortunately.

Turret now assembled and ready to put on.

The thing was that the bang-bangs offered in the kit looked like this...

I cut down some better detailed german weaponry and used the tube of a WB40 to give me this...

Got the car bult up and painted, here's a few piccies of it at present ... just a little more weathering to do

Started the base, pile of rubble, bit of fence ... need to add a few bushes and a gate might be in order methinks.

Bought some miniart figures thinking they would be nicly moulded and fairly simple to put together .... hmmmm

Some of the flash makes the hand like clubs, and we have a flashy head that looks like Mr Spock

                    Not impressed

                      Beatiful!!

I specially love the wheels on the vehicle! Looks very good!

And the little dio is fantastic.

Ps: the shopman, always said me the miniart figures aren't the best.... I bought a drivers set and are very badly!

                      Cheers

A little update but with nothing to show unfortunately.

i'm still persevering with the figures and these are about ready to go in situ after the majority of the faces, hands and clothing needing to be rescribed, shaped and built up with plasticene/tipex etc.

The car looks awesome colin, nice work ! the miniart figures look like theyre going to be a lot of work cleaning up the seams and flash , looks like a maker to avoid!! Ive had Masterbox figures before and can recommend them , very crisply moulded and no flash. Im sure its going to look great , cheers tony

I looked at MB stuff in the shop and didn't see any soviet troops or russian tank men in stock so i plumped for the miniart .... i'd seen a few people using/mentioning them on here and thought they must be ok in general.

Maybe i should have held out for the MB stuff eh
