I forgot I had this kit in the stash so it's going to be my build for the Four engine GB. If you wont count it just let me know and I will go back to the Lancaster

Ian if I am not much mistaken the RAF serials they have given for this Mk of herc are wrong. The J variants were serialed from ZH865 through to ZH889. The K variants were serialed with the XV prefix I may be wrong but I am sure this is the case.

As has been said several times four engines in military service so no need to make it drop bombs.

Just have a mother load of ordnance on the ramp palletised. it's dropping bombs just not in the conventional sense.

I was under the impression that it was four engined bombers.

The Italeri serial XV610 belonged to a Phantom FG.1. Not that you'll be using those anyway by the looks of it.

I can't recall ever seeing a Royal Air Force C-130J in that desert scheme, so be interesting to see what it looks like. The older C-130K and stretched version of that wore those schemes for many years.

I'm not going for an exact copy just a likeness for a diorama I have in mind for it

Perhaps the GB title should be amended then...to avoid any confusion.

It does say in the description that it is for any military aeroplane with four or more engines, and the title was what the original suggestion was. I recall that some thought it to restrictive with just bombers.....

Also the title would be to long, max 50 characters and not to mention that four engined aeroplanes in any form of military service, don't exactly roll off the tongue.

I thought I'd make a start on this one

Got the undercarrage bays done and also started the PE for the cockpit

And plenty of scribing to do due to the raised panel lines
