The Italeri serial XV610 belonged to a Phantom FG.1. Not that you'll be using those anyway by the looks of it.

I can't recall ever seeing a Royal Air Force C-130J in that desert scheme, so be interesting to see what it looks like. The older C-130K and stretched version of that wore those schemes for many years.
XV604 to XV610 were planned serial numbers for Royal Navy F4K's, but the orders were not taken up.So XV610 only existed on paper.

I know you've chosen your colour scheme. But I've got a decal sheet for the 25th Aniversary Hercules that I'm never going to use. I don't want anything for it. So if you want it I can bring it to Cosford tomorrow?.

That's a nice scheme, and looks very smart in that RAF (1980s?) camouflage. I too have always liked the C-130. RNZAF C-130s are commemorating 50 years of service in 2015. Granddad's axe with various new handles, the Hercules has to be one of the most versatile and hardest worked aeroplane types in the world.

Looks good Ian. I haven't built one of these since I was a kid. I think I used to hide £1.00 notes in the back.

                    Thanks Colin.

I was thinking of detailing all the inside but with what I have in mind for this one you wouldn't see anything, so it will be just the backend with added detail

Like I said at the beginning I was going to do a little diorama with this one, well the idea is that it's in the 70's and we're having a little trouble in one of the African States ( no change there ) so the British send in some troops to sort it out.

SoI'm going to add this to the Hercules

And going to try showing it as they drop it off using the LAPES ( low altitude parachute extraction system ). That's the plan anyway.
