    Fenlander's Space Shuttle Egg Plane

Looking forward to this. Not the most complex Egg Plane but my brain is scrambled anyway with other builds. Really eggcited to get going.

Love the little figure doing an EVA

The coil of wire is for the figure to float in space.. (Open the Pod Bay doors HAL.....)

Cheers Ralph, don't think it will be as complex as your artillery wheels

Been doing some pre build research. The instructions say to line the cargo bay doors with silver foil? So I decided to check this out and yes, some of them have bright silver doors on the inside. Apparently, they are used as heat radiators...... Anyway, looks like a touch of Alclad may be called for.

This appears to be the exact ship my egg was designed on

            And those silver doors

I wonder if I should use Alclad gold on the astronaut's visor?

Right, thought I had better get cracking with this one. Not going to be the most eggshausting build but could be a tad tricky getting the painting done. Definitely an eggsercise in masking and spraying.

Weirdly, it has deployed undercarriage which is a tad inappropriate for an orbiting vehicle so I will fill the holes and devise some kind of stand (egg cup?) to put it on.

The little chap looks eager to carry out his EVA eggsperiment but I have that many builds on the go, it is getting eggsasperating frying to get something finished......

So, here are the main sub assemblies and a quick dry fit of the whole thing.

You'll need to find eggstra time for your builds on the go. :P

This looks interesting, seems a little out of proportion, you may need to heat it up and stretch it a bit, looks like it was designed by a load of chickens.

With all the eggcitement of finishing my Waffenträger I almost forgot to post today's update on the Shuttle.

A good sanding session to blend all the parts then out with the Stynylrez black to prime some parts. Sadly it's back to work tomorrow. Had a day off to take delivery of a new router to enable a higher speed connection. So, here it is so far.
