Those leading edges look like something I would do and think that it would be disguised with a coat of ten gauge paint! On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.Comment

This is looking really interesting and more so with each post. At least you haven't got a major detailed office to do ( scuba gear might be needed for that!
Very impressive

Ok got some more done to this. As you can see the wings are now on, and I've drilled the gun ports out and re- fitted the side panels, and put the barrels in. I've also started to put the ribs on that can be seen. Still lots to do.

This is looking brilliant Ian and the scratch of dismantling is looking brilliant ( so much scope to play with ) but we know you'll be spot on with the detail
Maybe your the next sunken treasure builder??

Got some more of the new Airfix Beaufighter done. It's going together nicely but there are a couple of problems the join on the underside was a little large, and dry fitted the wings and the left hand wing root as a gap but that could be sorted with a little filing

Well I'm getting this one to look like I want it too, but still plenty of work to do on it before it sees any paint
