    Kressy's Hasegawa 1/48 109 F4 GB Build.

Hi all, long time no see. Hope all have been well. Been a while since I was able to do anything with moving house twice and not having internet. Finally got my desk set up and am ready to make something ( as opposed to just buying kits).

Hopefully this should be an easy build to get back into it. The kit decals have yellowed so I went for some aftermarket ones. Have decided I'd like to do the shown scheme. Something a bit different. Only problem being that's the only image they give you. No idea what the other side of the fuselage or the top of the wings looks like. Any help or pictures would be appreciated.

    Thanks from down under.

      A super quick search:

This set include metal barrels from Master Company, masks for painting canopy (outside and inside) and marking for two aircrafts. Additional details for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 masks in F-4 version: Manufactured by Montex Mask in 1/32 scale with reference KAM32190. Modelled on his F-4 version. Featuring the markings :9. /JG 3, Ofw. Eberhard von Boremski, May 1941Stab/JG 54, Oblt. Otto Kath, Winter 1941 - 1942To be used with Hasegawa reference 08881. Includes barrels in metal and masks. Package measures 120 mm x 195 mm x 2 mm (width x depth x height), weighting 35 g. The Messerschmitt Bf 109, often called Me 109, was a German World War II fighter aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt and Robert Lusser during the early to mid 1930s. It was one of the first truly modern fighters of the era, including such features as all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, a retractable landing gear, and was powered by a liquid-cooled, inverted-V12 aero engine. The Bf 109 first saw operational service during the Spanish Civil War and was still in service at the dawn of the jet age at the end of World War II, during which time it was the backbone of the Luftwaffe's fighter force. From the end of 1941 the Bf 109 was supplemented by the Focke-Wulf Fw 190. Originally conceived as an interceptor, later models were developed to fulfill multiple tasks, serving as bomber escort, fighter-bomber, day-, night-, all-weather fighter, ground-attack aircraft, and as reconnaissance aircraft. It was supplied to and operated by several states during World War II, and served with several countries for many years after the war. The Bf 109 was the most produced fighter aircraft in history, with a total of 33,984 units produced from 1936 up to April 1945. The Bf 109 was flown by the three top-scoring German fighter aces of World War II, who claimed 928 victories among them while flying with Jagdgeschwader 52, mainly on the Eastern Front, as well as by Hans-Joachim Marseille, the highest scoring German ace in the North African Campaign. It was also flown by several other aces from Germany's allies, notably Finn Ilmari Juutilainen, the highest scoring non-German ace, and pilots from Romania, Croatia and Hungary. Through constant development, the Bf 109 remained competitive with the latest Allied fighter aircraft until the end of the war.

Nice choice of kit mate- I did the F-4 version a few years ago on Marseille's aircraft. These kits are shake and bake kits that fall in place really easily. This one won an award at theĀ aussie model expo a few years ago- the results are really easy to attain on this kit due to simple engineering.Ā

          Cheers, John

If I can do that then that would be great. I'll not do any more till then. Hahaha. Yea, I voted for the P-47. Are you able to move the thread or would you like me to start a new one?

I can move this one for you and edit these bits out. The only reason I suggest this is as you have barely started, and you have infact started it after the official start date for the GB. Shoot me I'm feeling generous.. :P

For me Eagle Editions does the best interpretation.
