    Airfix 1/72 Bf 109 E-7 Trop

    Here's my entry for this GB, an impulse buy whilst in Hobbycraft  9_9





    1/72 mottling... clearly I'm a glutton for punishment!

    I built this with my daughter, she dabbed cotton buds moistened with paint for the mottling.


    If a six year old can build this then I'm sure you can!

    Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
    Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

      btw I wish I'd built models that well aged 6!

        That is very good. And what a good painting tip..... see what I did there.

          I think the kit im going to build is a derrivative of this kit! Good luck this one is loads of fun.

            Your larger scale one is part of why I picked it Bob! I thought it would be interesting to see the differences between the two.


            But had Hobbycraft stocked the 1/48 version, I admit I'd have gone with that to make it easier on my eyes!

                There was a lot of help from daddy though with applying the masking tape and then the matt coat of varnish. Isla also came up with the idea and design of the base.
