    Bob's Italeri 1/72 Sepecat Jaguar

    Hi all,

This will be my first of a few entries into this GB. They may not be completed in time, but I am not too fussed about that.

I will be building the Italeri Sepecat Jaguar.

    Build Plan

I will build the kit completely OOB. I will paint it in either the Gulf war scheme or the usual RAF camo scheme. I have not yet decided.

    Kit details (from www.scalemates.com)

    Brand: Italeri
    Title: Jaguar GR.1
    Number: 067
    Scale: 1:72
    Released: 2012
    Type: Full kit
Includes: Plastic sprues, Waterslide decals, Clear parts
    Decal options
    1. Sepecat Jaguar GR.1
      Royal Air Force (1918-Now)
      41 Sqn. XZ107
      RAF Coltishall | 1988
    2. Sepecat Jaguar GR.1
      Royal Air Force (1918-Now)
      41 Sqn. XZ364
      Operation Granby, Muharraq | 1991

        Thanks Polux, Colin.

Well I wasnt able to finish this one in time. I have however got a lot done. Here is the first build update
Instructions copied, cut out and pasted on the wall of my Airbrushing booth.

        Cockpit completed

Part of fuselage completed, and filled with Tamiya putty and in some parts Vallejo putty

        Canopy painted up

        Landing gear doors painted

        front attached and painted

        Underside painted

I will do the panel lines next followed by a gloss coat and finally decals.

I will also do up the weapons soon.

I hope you all liked the update. As always, all comments welcome.

I've just realised. I built this exact kit, a little while back. It turns out nice, well I think so, I'll have to check.

Looking good. I'm building the Revell (ex Airfix) 1/48 Jaguar at the moment. I hope the parts fit better on your kit.Mines using up a fair amount of filler.

                      Thanks all,
Dave, in regards to this kit, I should clarify, this kit needed a lot of filler. A lot of detail had to be re scribed as well because of the sanding I needed to do. The fit on the parts was not really the best. I do like challenging kits though as it really tests my modelling skills and patience.

Here is the latest update. The kit is almost complete now

Panel lines were highlighted using copic multiliner pens - sepia colour

Here are the copic multi liner pens used, this set comes in many sizes - the number representing the size of the tip in mm

Gloss coated and decals applied, small parts and a few weapons also attached. Landing gear was also done up and attached.

Here it is with the full load out attached.

A final matte coat will be applied and the canopy attached tomorrow.

I hope you all liked the update. As always all comments welcome.
