      Cheers Dave.

Yes, the gun was well worth the investment, although it was a tricky bugger to get lined up and glued. :smiling5:

Still needs a bit of clean up where the CA splurged out, and I have to figure out how I'm going to mount it. My plan at the moment is to drill out the kit shroud and fit the gun into it.

It all looks great. So I imagine it wasn't such a dodgy kit after all ?

              Cheers Colin.

To be fair to Tamiya, it's not as bad as I had read. There was a fairly sizeable seam along the fuselage halfs, although this might be normal for aircraft kits (it's only the 2nd one I've attempted). Sprue goo and sanding dealt with that, followed by some re-scribing. Also, the wheel well shells had quite a step in them, but again filler & sanding sorted it out.

Other than that there was a little bit of filler in the wing roots and tail (you can see the white filler in the pics), but this was easily sorted with Vallejo putty and a wet finger. :smiling3:

Just love the Hog, from the first time i saw them back in the day at a Mildenhall air fete in the 80's. To watching one (virtually on my own) in a downpour at Cosford air show till now, and hopefully if rumours and everything crossed holds true screaming over our tent at Totterdown for RIAT this year.

Hogs - Ugly but well hung !

                      Engines this weekend.

I didn't go overboard as most of its hidden inside the cowling, but I did treat the jet nozzles with C1 metaliser which came out quite nicely.

                      Also started on the armaments.
