Im in ! Ive had a 1/48 lightning in the stash for about 7 years , Ive never dared to start it for fear of mucking up the nat metal finish ! The Lightning in silver with the big red white and blue roundels is such an iconic image and a nostalgic reminder of seeing them at the finningley airshow as a kid , hence the importance of doing a good job on the kit , its a personal favourite so i wanted to make sure i could do it justice. The new  Vallejo metal colors seem to suit my building style so now (well next year!) is a good time to finally tackle it. add me to the list, cheers tony

Is the airfix 1:48 as good as the 1:72 kit

I can highly recommend the 1/48 it's a super kit and builds well.

Again, I'm in if it starts after the Phantom build.
