it just got farsical 94 minutes, but did give France the win ! And the England game was pants, so needed a distraction and all those etch dividers certainly provided that :-)

So the other night i got the plumbing in for the fuel tanks a couple of smaller pieces added to the rear hull and then started on the 'kit in a kit' the gun, Sprue J is all for the gun, over 100 bits of plastic on here along with Sprue M, even more bits. deep breath and off we go ......

Work started on the gun, no issues just a lot of small parts, that dont seem to look like anything until you start attaching them to other bits and then its 'ahhhh thats what it is

4o minutes to build this 'thingy-ma-whatsit', 40 minutes !! - admittedly that was due to the glue drying, the more you put on the less stable the whole structure seems to become, lots of bits to knock off

That does look very fragile & easy to break off the bit you've just glued Steve!

I don’t think I have constructed something that looks as complex as this 57-2 gun system. Still only about 80% of sprue J (over 100 parts) used , about 6 steps to go. Lots of very, very small bits, even the handle on the big wheel is a separate part, only about 1 mm in length, but has a perfect peg to fit into a minute holed on the wheel. This ‘bit’ of the sighting system, I think that’s what it is part of, has 8 parts in it, and you have to think about the build sequence, working out the best route to fit which bit where first.
