I can't see anything to justify banishing it to the attic! Maybe a bit clean, as Tim said. Funny how we give models a wash to make them dirty...

Pete glad your other half has climbing skills.
I for one cannot give you any criticism , as I do not feel I have the set of experience to do so, why do I say that,.. One kit finished in four years, and it was bad, honest.
I can give you a slap on the back for getting it posted up, and to honest with you, I'd be happy with that result, and take away the feedback given by the other posters.
I totally know where your coming from when you put it back in the box, I do it all the time, hence very little from me , so your streets ahead and you have the courage to post your stuff, so keep it up, one whippet added to my tally.. This is my last go at this one, it will be back in it's storage box and consigned it to the loft with the rest of my models out of sight out of mind.
So Good, Ok, Bad or Bin cast your votes now :thinking::thinking::thinking: at lest it did not end up like the Mad Max Car I tried to build :tongue-out2: .
With it's canvas fenders covers on.
The base, and the tank in the background is the same as the model one.

Hi Pete.
If you look at pictures ( and there's not that many really) of any WW1 tank there all mudded up to the eyeballs, the way you've done yours is just the same, but like Tim says a wash of a dark brown will bring the highlights out a treat, and a little mud on the tracks and mud guards wouldn't go a miss.
A cracking job and not one I would hide in the loft.Comment

Hi Ian, I've just lost the ability to weather anymore so I asked for help as time is get shorter, as for the mud you are spot on, you see so many MkIV/V mudded up to the eyeballs :rolling:
WW1 is my pet subject and try to do as much research as I can.
As for hidig my models in the loft, yes they are all up there somewhere probably close to 175/200, I have none on display in the house ,never have.

Well I like it. I would be more than happy if it were mine. As with most of us you are perhaps over critical of your own work. Faults, imagined or otherwise, jump out at us from our own builds and yet others see the model in a more overall way.

Excellent job Pete. The worn finish is great, especially the tracks and the Asbestos rope on the exhausts look almost real. The rusty bits look much better now they are toned down a little as well...
