(Whoever scratched that new assembly can't count :rolling: - there should be five holes each side of centre on that axle beam)
Sorry sir.
Pete.

No problem Pete - I appreciate you taking the time to post the pictures

Just means the build will take a little longer

Great work so far Simon, this extra detailing is something I need to look at in my builds from now on.

Hi John - did the usual. Got home from work 19:20, sat down with a cuppa. Next thing I was waking up at 21:30. Made some dinner fell asleep again at 23:00. Woke up 02:30, fell asleep, woke up 03:15, fell asleep, woke up 04:35, got to bed at 5am, alarm went off at 5:50am!

Ian - extra detailing is good :thumb2:

You do have to be careful though as John says - I keep going too far........

Morning all,
been using my time to rebuild the tail section - not finished yet but there is progress

the frame has been rebuilt around the kit part which was first sanded flat to remove all detail

it was skinned with two layers of card then strip was used to create the flanges where needed

it has taken a lot of filling, trimming, sanding to get it to this point

this shows how it fits together with the previously rebuilt axle assembly

the wheels are in the process of getting replacement and additional rivets

thanks for looking in

That work alone has lifted this to another level, combined with the whole build this is turning into an exceptional model.
Great stuff

I don't know how you cope.
The wheels fit well and the 'improved' frame is typical of your detailing.

Tim, Steve, Ian - thanks all

Jim - not very well. All this interrupted sleeping is very tiring

At least I have an extra day for recovery today :thumb2:
