Oil dot filtering is something I've only just started playing with but do like the effect. I can see you've mastered the art very well here.

          Hi Everyone

Fernando - I decided to keep the chipping to a minimum as most of the model will be covered in mud.
Nice of you to say Colin:thumb2:
Si - Good to have you along for the ride mate
The oil work is going on well this time Jim:thumb2:
As for the oil dot technique Colin I actually prefer to add and blend each colour individually and build up depth with different layers of oil work. Whichever way you decide to go you cant beat a good deal of oil coverage:thumb2:
          Cheers Mr Race

            Hi Steve
The build up of the effects is really nice. I particularly like the graduation of filters - top to bottom. Oils do need time to dry but the advantage is that you have plenty of time to adjust and refine
What do you use to seal in between layers?
This is most definitely going in the right direction.
            Jim

Like the weathering, and oil work, quite superb.

                  Hi Everyone

Jim - I use W&N matt varnish. It gives a rock solid protection layer. However it does take a couple of days to dry fully
JR - One or two mate:smiling5: Wouldn't like to scratch build one
                  Cheers Ian:thumb2:
