Some filler was required around the nose and nose wheel landing gear areas:

Happily the nose fits nicely onto the aft fuselage. The wings fit nicely (they are movable but seeing as there is no way of swinging the pylons they'll be presented fully forward on this one, but with the ability to sweep the wings for storage on the shelf.

I caught the dropping your build onto the floor yesterday, this a victim of the box episode explained in my Italeri Tornado thread. The wing roots and some other, more minor repairs completed. It came off suprisingly well considering the state of another kit I had resting there.

Primed and ready for painting once I sand back the wing root repairs. The weapons are also ready for paint.

Just found your build and had a very interesting read through. Looks like you are back on track now so I wish you all the best with the wet stuff

Black areas masked off. I've also dealt with e exhausts and rear metallic areas since this was taken. Like a few others here, I'm struggling with aspects of the two Tornado builds I've got going on.

I went to do some more painting today but didn't have enough of the required grey left. Should arrive tomorrow, in time for the weekend and then I hope to get a coat on both of my long-winded Tornado builds.

Like the Italian Tornado, will try to complete this prior to end 2018... Busy time of the year!

You seem to be experiencing a frenzy of model building at the moment Joe, are you on leave or something ?

Nice progress Joe. Im amazed to see the nose mounted pitot is still attached. I would have broken that long ago!

Leave? What's that?! I get my model time in short bursts so I have to make the most of it.

It's a brass tube replacement Dave, but it's going to require refixing as it has come loose. Easy fix.
