Been doing a little scratch detailing tonight. Only done one main leg so far and i'll do the other when my eyes stop meeting in the middle :smiling5:
Added the hydraulic brake pipes. Used a 0.4mm drill for the fine wire location hole and a 0.6mm for the copper wire one. Super glue was so efficient it stuck my bloomin' fingers together! Still i think the look has come out ok. Will look better once the leg is painted RLM 02 and then the lower pipe black. Might scratch build some ident plates for the legs too.Comment

Both main legs done. I can bend the wire to fit around the wheel later on. Just trying out some other detailing on the main leg braces. Not sure it'll work but if i don't try then i'll always ask, 'what if?'Comment

Ok here is the detailing on the main leg bracing. It' not much but boy does it test your eyes (and patience) whilst making. Used some co-axial shielding wire (excellent for aircraft wiring) and a number tab off the sprue trees to make an electrical harness and box as seen on the real aircraft main leg brace.Comment

Ok well the scratch building is done and the legs are fitted. Will need to touch up the paint as some of it has rubbed off the wiring. Masked up the canopy using Eduard masks but these were different from my usual ones i use. They were just the outer edges. Not sure i like them if i'm honest. But they have done the job so i might try and get a layer of paint on tonight. I'm also trying a little scratch building on the armour headrest. Will show my efforts later.Comment

Ok so here are my efforts for tonight. I'm going to stop now as i'm going bozz-eyed.
Started making a pulley wheel for the radio antenna wire but i dropped it whilst sanding. Couldn't find it but found an old injection tab laying on floor that just happened to be the shape i was trying to make. It just needed cutting in half and gluing to the frame. Result!
I then made two armour connection points (still need to make two more) and glued them to the head armour support beam.
After that i have started to chain drill out and sand clean the antenna wire hole from the canopy to the pulley wheel i made earlier.
This should add some detail in the canopy when fitted so it looks a little more 'busy' in there.
That's me for tonight. I do believe it is now vodka o'clockAttached Files- Hasegawa 1.32 Fw190 A8 Schlangenschwarm 43.JPG (2.8 KB, 2 views)

Quick update from this morning.
Fitted the two rear armour brackets so i can get the armour adjusting wires fitted. Had a bit of a mare with the superglue so one of them is a little squint. But i can live with that. Also it was nice to see the radio wire hole looks good too.Comment
