So they’re about 7 cm long? A little smaller than I’d expected, I must say, and the more impressive for it these models are, then.

Thanks gents. The pad eyes are on and the decals are sorted, so paint next. They are approx. 7.5cm or 3" from bow point to end of rear grabs. The rule has both measurements, cm under first LAV-AT & inches under the second. I still have both mm & inch full sets of sockets & hand wrenches though I've only used the inch wrenches for plumbing since leaving the Euro shop. Back in the day, they said you could take down a 37 to a 71 Chevy to its' component parts with 4 combination wrenches. I never tried it, but half believed it. PaulE

We know there small Paul, but having that measure there makes me realise how small they are.
Suppose we tend the see then in the scale we work to.
            Great detail .

Thank you gentlemen. I try to tell a story of sorts. I still show images of your Napoleon sculpt to my artist friends John. I hope you don't mind. PaulE

7 cm! I have built kits that have single parts bigger than that lol.
                  Most impressive!

Well, that didn't work out either. Only slightly lighter. I'll go with Field Drab next.

You might want to look at Vallejo Model Color Yellow Oliva 70892. I quite like using this on the small stuff. If you remember my Abrams earlier this year I used it on that

Pic shows the closest to yellow olive I have (on the bow) & US Field Drab (around gunner's hatch). I think I'll go with Polly S Field Drab & Modelmaster Gulf Sand (the same as base coat on LAV-25s). PaulE
